Wherefore and why «Godfather-in-law»?

Businessman, media-magnate, official, chekist, millionaire, he was a successful influential Kazakhstani oligarch in authority. How had the son of the surgeon risen the highest pitch? Him, who had been following in father's footsteps and learning at Medical? He could work as a physician, but successful marriage had opened before him other prospects in Kazakhstan. He had become the husband of the daughter of the President. Everything Rahat Aliev would like to get he had quickly had in his possession. This splendid life had led him to new wants: increased desire to have an unlimited power. He understood well, that in the post-Soviet space power structures had possibility to govern people without any diplomacy.

In 1996 Aliev had taken an appointment to executive positions in Tax police without any experience and required career ladder, normal for all state officials. However, the power of special services as well as their force and governance, with which the officers of the most secret services had been authorized, did not give the doctor to sleep peacefully. In 1999 Rahat Mukhtarovich had become the chief of the department of the National Security Committee (NSC) in Alma-Ata and Alma-Ata Region and a little later by NSC Vice-Chairman. That time the name of this chekist resounded through the country, all of his ambitions showed up: in 2001 Aliev had quarreled with local businessmen. The discontented entrepreneurs informed President Nazarbayev against his son-in-law: he had troubled securocrats with unfounded accusation, arranged redistribution of property. Besides, they had whispered to Nursultan Abishevich that his son-in-law leaked dirt to «Aziopa» Site, collected with the help of his NSC' spies. The President had evicted Aliev out of his post of First Vice-Chairman of National Security Committee and appointed Deputy Chief of his Service guard with the words, "It was allowed to decide me who would guard me... ". Afterwards, Rahat Mukhtarovich became the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Austria, later — First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and special representative of Kazakhstan for cooperation with OSCE.

Brilliant career! Splendid life! Whom should Rahat Aliev thank? Everybody understood whom. He thanked. Stinking with power and wealth, he did not blame his father-in-law in dictature, he did not rebel against corruption system at the top, he did not stand up for opposition. Satisfied and pleased, he did not make speeches about fantastic people' interests, but praised the power, both at home and abroad. «NurBank», a number of sugar refineries, «Habar» and «KTK» TV channels, «Caravan» and «New Generation» newspapers, etc. (also overseas) — the whole huge business-empire belonged to Rahat Aliev. Aliev' corporation kept growing, though there were complaints to his corporate raid, but Rahat Mukhtarovich was «ahorse».

Between love and hate are money and power.

In 2007 two bankers had disappeared. By means of mass media (MSM) their relatives told that Rahat Aliev had conducted kidnapping. One of the victims announced about details of cruel violence by Aliev. In strict sense, he forced out victims' to transfer business into his property. President Nursultan Nazarbayev authorized law enforcement agencies to conduct investigation, in contempt of job titles and positions. Aliev had escaped to Austria. When Nursultan Abishevich swept out his son-in-law with muddy broom, breaking away from sinecure of power and wealth — Rahat Mukhtarovich had declared father-in-law by his enemy. Nowadays he is not praising Kazakhstani state system. He has released the book of «Godfather-in-law».

What moved Rahat Aliev to issue this creation? He informed «Azattyk» Radio that when he wrote his book, he wanted to make a deal with Nursultan Nazarbayev. No, he did not want to clear Kazakhstan out of mud, but in exchange for remission and confession of judgment void (20 years of confinement — for kidnapping and other crimes, 20 years — for prepare to violent seizure of power, illegal reception and divulgation of state secrets, abuse of power) he would make a commitment not to publish anything.

Aliev did not get any remission for his crimes and had released the book in European publisher in order to get status of dissident and avoid extradition to Motherland jail. Herein, men of sense would immediately ask one question: Why was Aliev silent before he had an authority and was managing law enforcement agencies? He bugged grand officials and businessmen, made copies of secret documents for his files. He was aware of multiple machination of Olympus authorities.

The other issue: if Aliev had been a honorable democrat and fighter with corruption, being state official, how had he managed to become a millionaire with his salary and get big business in his possession, including global scale business? (Aliev is holding shares of companies, controlling big deal of sugar market).

Rahat Aliev was close to the President, due to whom he was able to rise, was initiated into his private life, which was proudly described later, in spite of the fact that once he had promised to keep everything in secret. Moreover, he had been working in special services.

There is nothing to be amazed. This is Kazakhstan reality. Longing of power and money are raised to the level of national idea. Career of official, accompanied with machinations, not in the least is burdened with notion of honour and dignity. They occupy major posts, shake both hands of each other, but arrange «leaks» in biased articles behind the backs of each other. Discontented subordinates are whispering about their chiefs, but when viewing them they threw themselves at their feet. Nazarbayev is good for them until hit their pull in hands. One may slap hands in response to the book of Rahat Aliev. What to applaud for? When lining his pockets, he never avowedly spoke out against the President, but separated from horn of plenty, simulated a honored democrat — in this is Aliev's putrefaction. As for the system, it is all like the same, since there are machinations and corruption, no trust and devotion exist, so much the more — no veneration to eternal valuables. They furtively trip up each other, and are afraid of avowed express disapproval. In these wars not people are at the head of the corner, but personal mercenary interests of Jacks in offices.

Look at successful career of Rahat Mukhtarovich! If he would finish in this way being principle, honored, opened, and not money and power would serve as a worship for him for the sake of which he descended to crimes? Doesn't he now want to whitewash himself by means of the book, written on his order by specialists? His fate will be repeated by no one official. Purge will be long until professionalism and efficiency will not become constitutive for Kazakhstani officials. Then, the books will be written not for having revenge or advantage, but for the sake of truth, for change the country to the best. Every juicy scandal will be terminated with noted dismissals. Moreover, the worthy person will take place of foul traitorous corruptionist.
